CALL FOR OPEN & DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL) - 2019/2020 APPLICATIONS – GENERIC AND MATURE ENTRY - COHORT 8

The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for admission into its programmes offered through Open and Distance Learning (ODL). The following are programmes on offer and their entry requirements:

PROGRAMME	DURATION	SPECIFIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Extension	4 years	Generic Students (Year One): 6 credit passes including English Language, Biology, Mathematics, Physical Science/Physics and Chemistry at MSCE or any comparable O-Level qualification.   For Mature Entry (Year two): An MSCE and a relevant Diploma with Basic sciences obtained from an accredited institution of higher learning.
Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management	4 years
Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics	4 years
Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Innovations	4 years

Tuition Fees is MK 350,000.00 per year. In addition to the Tuition Fees, students are expected to pay MK 30,000.00 per semester for study materials/modules (optional).

To apply; Generic students should complete an application form, attach a copy of an MSCE certificate or notification of results and an application fee bank deposit slip, and submit it to the University Registrar’s office using the address below. Prospective students can also submit the application forms to any of the ODL Centres in Blantyre, Lilongwe and Mzuzu. For Mature entry students in addition to the MSCE certificate include a copy of diploma and transcript.

All applicants are required to deposit a non-refundable application fee of K10,000.00 for Malawians and U$30.00 for international applicants to the following LUANAR ODL FEES bank account:

 

 

Remember to attach a copy of the deposit slip bearing the name of the applicant to the application form.

 

The closing date for receiving applications is Sunday, 10 November 2019.
