This course explores the family as a fundamental social institution and examines its dynamic interaction with the broader environment. It focuses on the structure, functions, and roles of the family in relation to cultural, social, economic, and political contexts. Students will analyze how environmental factors such as community, education, religion, technology, economy, and policy influence family life and how families, in turn, contribute to shaping society. Emphasis will be placed on contemporary issues affecting families, including gender roles, family diversity, social change, and challenges posed by modernization and globalization. The course also highlights strategies for strengthening families to foster resilience and sustainable development within their communities.
